The Lady Bay Arts
Creativity Fund

About the Creativity Fund

The Lady Bay Arts Creativity Fund was established in 2021 during the pandemic as a way of promoting creativity when the weekend was cancelled for the second time. The fund enabled the development of new work, community activities, and projects that connected those isolated during the pandemic.

The Creativity Fund 2024

The Creativity Fund is supporting a range of activities this year that enable us to widen the participation of those engaging in our activities, in particular over the Festival Weekend. The opportunities fall into two categories:

Delivery over the Festival Weekend

These activities are designed to be a core part of our in-person offer, making space for creatives across Nottingham to imagine, design and deliver exciting outcomes to engage our audiences.

This year we are supporting students from Nottingham Trent University Graphic Design and Illustration courses. The ‘Creative Bunch’ will be taking over the Scout Hall and showcasing their wares!

We are also supporting the Lady Bay Arts Community Quilt in addition to a monetary award from the Lady Bay Community Fund.

Longer term opportunities

In addition to the Festival Weekend opportunities, we are also offering a series of funded opportunities for practitioners to develop their skills and knowledge over a longer period, and connect with our communities in response to a live brief.

The opportunities are intentionally broad to hold space for the chosen practitioners to create their unique interpretation of the brief. The possibilities are limitless and we are keen to work with passionate people who can create something special that then features as a key part of our public facing activities.

Sponsorship of the Creativity Fund 2024

Our evolving Creativity Fund offers opportunities for us to fund meaningful opportunities for people to develop their skills and to showcase their work during the Festival Weekend.  We are very grateful for FHP Living's contribution to making the Creativity Fund a success.
